The MP 3100 HV is our newest and most complex multimedia player. We have adopted the basic concept from the MP 3000 HV, but in addition to the perfect processing of PCM data, the MP 3100 HV now also masters the complete signal processing of DSD bitstream data. The extensive expansion was necessary because he received a completely new SACD drive with the most modern decoder, which reads CD (PCM 44.1 kSps) and SACD (DSD 64 2.8 MHz) discs of the highest quality. The other built-in and external digital sources also benefit from this. As in the MP 3000 HV, we use our outstanding double differential quadruple converter with all digital signal processing to convert PCM data.

This means that even DSD data up to DSD 512, which come from the USB input of the digital connecting board, can be reproduced in the highest quality. As a streaming client, he received the new T + A high-res streaming board, which not only enables the highest resolution, but also the use of various music services, Internet radio and the connection to the home network via LAN and WLAN, USB master mode and HD streaming of network servers. The excellent sounding tuner is FM, FM-HD and DAB + capable. A high-quality Bluetooth streaming module for music transmission from mobile devices is also installed.
The MP 3100 HV, or an entire HV system, is operated using the FD 100 radio remote control or the T + A MusicNavigator app.
  • Technology

    Of course, the SACD and CD are becoming less and less important and are being replaced by streamed content, as the huge successes of our multi-source players with their diverse streaming options show. However, our audiophile customers clearly wish to continue using the CD and SACD because nobody throws away their old collection and still has a certain charm in owning a real data carrier. The SACD is currently experiencing a renaissance worldwide.
    We have therefore decided to develop a completely new, modern drive with the latest decoder technology, which offers very short access times and has excellent error correction. We put a lot of effort into the mechanical construction of the drive unit with high-quality mechanics and heavy-duty motors to prevent any form of interaction between the moving mechanics of the drive and the rest of the player. For this reason, the drive was mechanically isolated in two stages: first, it received a heavy aluminum mass housing that acts as a mass damper. Structure-borne noise cannot therefore be transferred from the base to the electronics and drive; secondly, this drive unit is decoupled from the player housing itself by a resonance-optimized 3-point bearing.

    The sound quality of a digital source depends crucially on the quality of the digital signal processing and the converter concepts. We have a one-time effort in both areas.
    Depending on the data format, the data from all digital sources, regardless of whether external or internal, go through the same digital signal processing with all its pioneering features, such as T + A DSP oversampling with optimized computing algorithms (for PCM), clock processing with jitter elimination, resynchronization and True 1 -Bit conversion for DSD and quadruple conversion for PCM.
    Jitter is one of the biggest problems and arises in the source device (especially in computers) and in the data transfer between source and converter. For perfect reproduction, the data must be freed from jitter before it is converted into analog signals in the DAC. We have therefore developed a unique concept for a two-stage clock processing (jitter elimination): In a first stage, the received data is processed and decoded. In this case, a raw clock cycle is first recovered from the received data stream, which is freed of coarse jitter from the source device and the transmission link in a first cleaning stage with the aid of a PLL circuit. The raw clock is now carefully examined by the microprocessor. If it meets certain minimum criteria with regard to frequency and stability, the D / A converters are switched to an internally generated, highly precise master clock with extremely low phase noise. This clock is completely decoupled from the source device and jitter disturbances of the source and the transmission are thus completely eliminated. In cases where the incoming signal does not meet the requirements for switching to the local clock oscillators, a 2nd PLL stage (2nd jitterbug) is used instead of the quartz oscillators. The result of the first jitter bow level is thereby perfected and the residual jitter remaining after the first level is reduced again by a factor of 4. This clock is completely decoupled from the source device and jitter disturbances of the source and the transmission are thus completely eliminated. In cases where the incoming signal does not meet the requirements for switching to the local clock oscillators, a 2nd PLL stage (2nd jitterbug) is used instead of the quartz oscillators. The result of the first jitter bow level is thereby perfected and the residual jitter remaining after the first level is reduced again by a factor of 4. This clock is completely decoupled from the source device and jitter disturbances of the source and the transmission are thus completely eliminated. In cases where the incoming signal does not meet the requirements for switching to the local clock oscillators, a 2nd PLL stage (2nd jitterbug) is used instead of the quartz oscillators. The result of the first jitter bow level is thereby perfected and the residual jitter remaining after the first level is reduced again by a factor of 4.
    Two separate, extremely precisely adjusted crystal oscillators are available for generating the local master clock. This means that there is no more interference from the external source devices, even bad computer faults are made harmless!
    Like the converters, the analog part connected to it is also built in channel technology using HV technology (double mono) and is completely isolated from the digital part by jitter-free i-couplers.
